This is the new "Blessing Box" located at the northeast edge of the church parking lot. (14040 N Highway)

It provides free food to anyone in need. Simply stop by any time and take what you need.

As a Stephen Ministry church, our mission is to provide high quality, one-to-one Christ-centered care to people in our congregation experiencing life difficulties.

Sunday, December 21 – Fourth Sunday of Advent

Message: "DON'T MISS THE FOREST FOR THE TREE – Come Down From the Tree



  • 9 am - Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary. Watch online at Facebook Live and YouTube

  • 10 am - Social Time in Fellowship Hall

  • 10:45 am - Blended Worship in the Sanctuary

  • 11:45 am – Short training for Christmas Eve Helpers

  • NO Youth Group Meeting - Christmas Break (next meeting January 11, 2026)

  • Christmas Eve - Traditional Candlelight Communion Services at 5 and 7 pm. Many helpers are needed for these worship services. See signup sheets at the Connect Center.

  • Saturday, December 27 - Memorial Service for Gary Hanman at PCUMC. Visitation from 9 am to Noon; Service at Noon.

  • Sunday, December 28 - A Service of Lessons and Carols - One family-friendly service at 9 am - NO Nursery or Children's Church. 

  • Sunday, December 28 - Wags and Wipes Distribution from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

  • Tuesday, December 30 - Prayer Team meets at Noon in the Prayer Chapel

Holiday Office Schedule and End of the Year Notes:​

  • Open 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, Monday, December 22; Monday & Tuesday, December 29-30. Back to normal hours on Monday, January 5 (Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 1:30 pm)

  • No E-News on December 24 and 31 – Next issue on January 7, 2026

  • All 2025 financial contributions must be in the office by noon on December 29 to be counted for 2025.

Mission & Vision

At Platte City United Methodist Church, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Our vision is to share God's love with ALL in the community through worship, missions and small groups. We focus on families with school age children and youth, especially those without a church home.
